Winemaker Notes:  Meaning ‘legacy’ in Italian, our Retaggio red blend pays homage to the Salvestrins’ Italian heritage. Our inaugural vintage of Retaggio was 2002, and this wine has evolved into a wine club favorite for its authenticity and unique profile. Our 2019 features flavors of fruit and spice including black cherry, blueberry, violets and a hint of black pepper. Velvety in texture, this wine is concentrated and focused, featuring a follow through finish that highlights a light dusting of cocoa powder.  48% Sangiovese, 28% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc
