Vineyard Notes
These vineyards yield rich fruit forward wines characteristic of the terroir. Pope Valley vineyards are located in the North-Eastern hills of the Vaca Mountains in a town called Pope Valley within the Napa Valley Appellation. Pope Valley is a warm growing climate with cool evenings and mornings which allow the grapes to hang on the vine long enough to ripen to their fullest potential and cool enough at nights to develop complex varietal aromas.
Winemaker Notes
The clusters were held for 72 hours prior to pressing to gently extract color and flavor from the skins. After the cellar rest the fruit was pressed whole cluster and the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at 58 degrees to maximize varietal character.
