Description

Winery Notes:

Milk & Honey is comprised of 68% Tempranillo, 15% Syrah, 11% Mourvedre, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.  Red fruit dominates this bold and lively blend from Paso Robles.  Medium bodied and lush this Tempranillo based blend will knock your socks off! Aromas of red cherries, cedar, vanilla and clove make this wine so beautifully unique.  On the palate lots of plum, dried fig and clove flavors keep you coming back for more.

What began in 2001 as a 7 barrel homage to winemaker/proprietor Russell P. From’s grandfather, has become a beacon to those seeking opulent, structured Syrah and Grenache. These are no nonsense, balls to the walls wines that are not for the faint of heart or the pinkie raising set. Russell sources fruit from 30 top-tier vineyards in 7+ distinct growing regions from Santa Ynez to Paso Robles. Vineyards of particular note include: Bien Nacido, Larner, Shadow Canyon, Vogelzang and White Hawk. According to Jeb Dunnuck in Wine Advocate “For those looking for super-concentrated, extroverted, exuberant, powerhouse wines from California’s Central Coast need look no further than the Herman Story estate.”
