Description
WINEMAKER NOTES:
Wine-growers from father to son for over two centuries, the family estate operates 23 hectares of vineyards in the Beaujolais region, primarily in Juliénas, but also in Chénas, Moulin-à-vent, Saint-Amour, and Beaujolais-Villages white. The respect for the expression of the terroirs gives the wines a unique character, and the appropriateness of the traditional vinification allows the winemaker to extract a maximum of aromas. The wine is aptly named “Clos des Poulettes”, or “Closed Chickens” , it referes to the many wild chickens that make their home in the vineyards of Juliénas.
TASTING NOTES:
Garnet colour with scents of violet and a red fruit aroma. On the palate, a tasty balance, the terroir of the plot gives it a finesse and a grain that’s different from the traditional Juliénas the Estate produces.
VARIETALS:
White-juiced Gamay Noir
APPELLATION:
Juliénas AOC, Beaujolais, France
