From the Winery: The 2019 vintage in Napa Valley was a beautiful and thankfully smooth harvest. The warm summer temperatures gave way to a cooler than normal August and a harvest season without any dramatic swings in temperature. The drought conditions continue to be a concern, but we had an above average yield with great flavor development on the wine. It was the kind of harvest that we always enjoy.
Tasting notes: A gorgeous vintage for Napa Valley, where the fruit developed over a long harvest, building layers of complexity and big, bold flavors. Balanced acidity and great texture on the palette. Big black fruit flavors of blackberry, plum, blueberry and strawberry dances with floral notes of dusty roses and masculine hints of black iced tea, dark chocolate, cigar box, saddle leather and a slight bit of fresh mint.
