Schrader Double Diamond Proprietary Blend 2022

From the winery: The 2022 Proprietary Red Wine maintains the exceptional quality and prestige synonymous with winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown and the Double Diamond portfolio. A Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, it is ready to drink upon release but will cellar well for years to come. Awards & Accolades 93 Pts. Decanter "The 2022 Double Diamond Proprietary Red allows winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown to experiment with a blend under the Schrader label. Fruit is sourced from notable vineyards, including Wappo Hill for Cabernet Franc, Shifflet for Cabernet Sauvignon in the western hills of the Oak Knoll District, and Red Hen Vineyard for Merlot. This is a lush red with high-toned, perfumed aromatics, dark berry fruit, cassis, and dark cacao notes with a cool, wet slate minerality. Full-bodied, it showcases creamy dark cherry and blackberry fruits, hints of plum, fine-grained tannins, and wild herbs on the extended finish. Balanced, joyful, and far too easy to drink." - Decanter, October 29, 2024 92 Pts. Jeb Dunnuck "More precise and pretty, the 2022 Proprietary Red Wine has a great nose of red and black fruit as well as some attractive floral and spicy nuances. It's rich, concentrated, has medium to full-bodied richness, polished tannins, and a great finish. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, it’s a great value in the vintage and will certainly stand up with wines 2-3 times the price. Drink bottles over the coming decade." - Jeb Dunnuck, January 8, 2025 Aroma & Tasting Notes This wine is fragrant with mixed berry compote, crushed ivy, iron, and vanilla bean. Full in body and generously concentrated with notes of ripe black fruits, spice, dark chocolate, and espresso framed with silky tannins, food-friendly acidity, and a lingering finish.

Implicit Cellars Innuendo 2021

From the winery: Created from a blend of the juice from our flagship wines as well as other iconic Napa Valley vineyards, INNUENDO is a complex Cabernet Sauvignon that is very approachable in its youth, but will age gracefully over 10 – 15 years. The flavors expressed in INNUENDO provide a subtle hint of what to expect from the Acuity and Privity Cabernet Sauvignons. The 2021 grape harvest in Napa Valley was a season marked by both promise and challenge. The year began with early bud break, raising concerns about potential frost damage, but the region was largely spared from this threat. A relatively dry and warm growing season followed, leading to optimal ripening conditions. As the harvest progressed, vintners reported a smaller-than-average grape yield, but the quality of the grapes harvested was outstanding. The reduced crop size contributed to enhanced concentration and intensity of flavors, particularly in Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Winemaker Notes: Wow, what a fine, highly palatable wine from an incredible vintage!! INNUENDO begins with a beautiful, clean crimson color that radiates from the glass. A sense of emotion and excitement felt just from pouring it into the glass! A wonderful black fruit and cherry nose lifts right away. Those ripe scents are backed by more complex hints of wet stones, blackberry jam, fresh picked raspberries, and oak spice. The few moments hovering above the glass simply cannot allow enough time to mention every nuance. This wine walks the tightrope of balance and doesn’t falter. The aromatic start transitions to the palate nearly seamlessly in every way. Warmth and viscosity, with grand flavors of cherry and clove abound. The tannins show their stature and finesse and are even a touch on the youthful/chewy side suggesting more time in the bottle will yield nicely. Cellared correctly, this wine will be enjoyed through 2036 and beyond. ~ Kirk Venge

Cliff Lede Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

From the winery: Established in the famed Stags Leap District in 2002, Cliff Lede Vineyards encompasses 160 acres throughout Napa Valley. Founder Cliff Lede, Director of Vineyard Operations Allison Wilson, and Director of Winemaking Christopher Tynan have come together to form an unrivaled team, making the most of these exceptional estate vineyards. Vintage The 2021 growing season was beset by a very dry winter. The valley received only half of the average rainfall. Because of the winter drought, our experienced vineyard crew began irrigation before bud break in the rockiest soils and set about crafting canopies that would protect and ripen the fruit to perfection. Although dry, the mild weather during April’s budbreak helped establish healthy shoot and leaf growth throughout May into June. Mid-June saw some of the hottest days of the year, but thankfully they were accompanied by cold nights which tempered their effects. Foggy mornings and warm sunny afternoons in August and September ushered in an early harvest of pristine and flavorful grapes. The wines are imbued with a bright fresh acidity provided by the ample, shading canopies, along with the ripeness and allure of a droughty growing season. Vineyards Our Stags Leap District and Calistoga estate vineyards build the foundation of this wine with support from valued grower sites located in Oakville, Rutherford, and Howell Mountain. Composed of small batches from a variety of blocks of varying age, this wine represents a diverse range of carefully selected rootstocks and clones. Yields are maintained at sparse levels, with a focus on canopy management and vine balance. The resulting blend boasts a remarkable depth and complexity that is quintessential Napa Valley. Winemaking Grapes were picked in the darkness of the early morning hours. The freshly-harvested fruit immediately underwent rigorous selection by our three-tiered sorting process, which included our cutting-edge optical sorter. Whole berries were gently delivered by gravity to tank using our crane system, minimizing disruption of berry integrity. Cold soaks lasted approximately seven days, and fermentations were managed via a combination of délestage, pumpovers, and punchdowns. Extended maceration ranging from four to five weeks fine-tuned our tannin profiles, allowing us to perfect mouth feel and wine complexity. The wine was aged in French oak barrels, 48% of which were new, for twenty-one months. Winemaker Notes Elegantly soft and lithe the 2021 coaxes the taster with warm dark chocolate and luscious black cherry aromas. More graphite, chocolate cake, crushed mulberries, and iron notes leap from the glass. The entry is filled with dark fruit flavors of cassis, blackberry, and blue berries and they’re all tinged with floral notes of jasmine and violets. The polished tannins along the finish feel Cashmere-like and beg the taster for another sip. – Christopher Tynan, Director of Winemaking Composition: 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc

The Vice Porter House Petite Syrah 2022

Potent and rich with bold personality, the huge mouthfeel offers layers of blueberry wrapped around velvety smooth tannins. The finish goes on and on. Oakville RanchField Blend 2021

From the winery: The 2021 growing season began with the driest winter in over a decade, leading to a warm spring and initially hot summer that moderated mid-season and slowed the pace of an early harvest. Smaller berry size and lower cluster weights meant reduced yields of grapes with structure and concentration. Rich, heady aromas of blackberry jam, black pepper and dark cocoa powder hint at the complexity of this wine. Anticipate a delicious range of flavors including licorice, raspberry, ripe black fruit as well as herbaceous hints of California bay laurel and the chamise native to the surrounding area. Layered and complex, with notes of dark chocolate and black current, this 2021 vintage presents a more masculine version of our Field Blend. Oakville Ranch is the original mountain vineyard of the Oakville sub-appellation, a tiny district that produces some of Napa Valley’s most celebrated Cabernets. The winery has crafted singular wines expressive of its distinctive terroir since 1989, when founders Robert and Mary Miner purchased the historic property with its century-old winery building and existing vineyards. A place of dramatic beauty and dedication to organic farming, Oakville Ranch farms its hollows and terraces in a well-planned program of sustainability. Less than a quarter of the historic 370-acre property is planted to grapes, along with orchards and vegetable gardens – all cultivated in harmony with the untouched natural habitat which sustains native flora and fauna. Painted Scars Red Blend 2021

From the winery: Dave Phinney, the founder and creator of The Prisoner red wine and Orin Swift Cellars, is proud to bring you Painted Scars . Painted Scars is a red blend from deep in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountain range that forms the border between France and Spain. Based on old vine Grenache and Syrah, the wine is an homage to the unique soil and climate found in and around the beautiful village of Maury. Nestled below ancient Cathar castles and massive cliffs of granite and black schist, the vineyards produce tiny yields of intense and complex wines with unmatched opulence and grace. Dave was introduced to Maury by dear friends in 2008 following the sale of The Prisoner. Since then he has purchased over 300 acres of vineyards and built a winery specifically for those plantings. He has spent the last fifteen years making wines with Richard Case and Bob Doyle, always trying to learn and improve with each vintage. Painted Scars is the culmination of those years and more. THE LABEL The name, Painted Scars, is a reference to the amazing artwork that graces the label. For over a decade, Dave has been a massive fan and avid collector of the artist Dr. Lakra—aka Jeronimo Lopez Ramirez, a renowned Mexican artist and tattooist based in Oaxaca. His works are highly coveted and have been shown internationally from the Tate Modern in London to the Yokohama Museum of Art in Japan. Dave has been lucky enough to form a friendship with Lakra and is honored to be able to use this amazing image for such a personal wine. WINEMAKER’S NOTES Deep ruby appearance with bright aromas of ripe damson, wet stone, black chocolate and a touch of espresso. Dense, broad and intense with gentle tannins and a very long, mineral finish, with fruit characterized by black plum, blackberry and black fig with background elements of earthy minerality and cacao powder. Very much full–bodied but with plenty of energy. MATURATION A g e d 15 m o n t h s i n F r e n c h O a k b a r r i q u e s BLEND Grenache and Syrah

Advice from John 2023 Merlot Blend

From the winery: 2 0 2 3 CALIFORNIA MERLOT Like many things at Orin Swift, what started as a fascination quickly turned into an obsession. Samantha Smith, Dave Phinney’s long time executive assistant (read: chauffeur, gopher, right hand ma’am, therapist, etc.), managed amidst her daytime job to multitask away at a book, Advice From John—an anthology of the brilliant, idiotic and sometimes deep thoughts found at the bottom of a cocktail and then subsequently scribbled and scrawled onto to the walls of dive bar bathrooms. ‘You Had Me At Hell No’, captured at a dive in Texas, caught Dave’s eye while ruminating ideas on how to bring Merlot back into the mainstream fold—long pilloried for its second of fame in THAT movie two decades ago. All good things circle back around, so, let’s revitalize this delicious, luscious and fun varietal. Grab a bottle of some good ole Advice and enjoy! WINEMAKER’S NOTES Dominating aromatics abound without effort—notes of blackberry pie, black plum, sage and lilac come from the glass. A flooding sensation on entry drives dark fruits onto the mid-palate with touches of savory, fennel and licorice as complements. Long on the finish, the espresso bean and continued concentration of blackberry throughout fades slowly with gentle and soft tannins.

ELISA GUENEAU SANCERRE LES TERRES BLANCHES 2023

From the winery: Tasting notes: Here you have a bodybuilder on a tight rope. Fruits are prominent with white grapefruit juice, underripe papaya, and cactus pear. The acid is precise and prickly, bruised sage and resinous hoppy herbaceousness persist. Shiny white stone finish. Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Terroir: 25 year old vines growing on chalky-clayish soils known as Terres Blanches Elevation: 740 feet Farming: Sustainable farming Aging: 8 months in stainless steel tanks, on its lees Bottled: At the estate

Hermanos Lurton Tempranillo 2019

From the winery: WINEMAKING TECHNIQUES Harvesting by hand in crates, then sorting by hand on a conveyor before and after de-stemming. Cold pre-fermentation for 4-5 days at 6C in 80hl vats with a floating lid, then alcoholic fermentation with punching down, rack and return, and regular pumping over. Once fermentation is complete and tastings have been performed, we leave the wine to macerate for around a week to extract a finely worked structure of tannins. Malolactic fermentation in very fine-grained French oak barrels and stainless steel vats. Matured for six months in new French oak barrels. TASTING NOTES Beautiful deep red colour. This wine is very expressive on the nose, with red fruit, caramel and vanilla aromas coming through. On the palate it is very full in the attack, well structured with supple tannins. Red fruit and vanilla notes, as well as delicate balsamic touches.

Goldschmidt Fidelity Red 2022

From the winery: The vineyard brings great depth of garnet purple color. The nose is immediately intense with aromatics of black plum, blueberry, black cherry and dried rose petals, accentuated by mineral undertones. The creamy, supple texture is framed by fine grained tannins. The freshness and soft level of acidity create a subtle tension with dark fruit flavors, savory herbs, espresso, and cocoa. A delicate dark chocolate bitterness lingers on the finish. 2022 was a challenging growing year because of little winter rain and several heat spikes throughout the summer. This extended heat in late August through Labor Day caused an earlier than usual harvest. The overall quality of fruit in 2022 was quite good and we should enjoy excellent wines. Another marvelous red from veteran winemaker Nick Goldschmidt. This Bordeaux styled wine is rich, smooth, and perfect for casual dining. Fruit sourced from all the great locations in Alexander Valley makes this wine complex but not fussy. The Merlot offers a round and silky mouthfeel, while the Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and Petit Verdot gives tannin, color, and enhances the flavor. Few winemakers offer such quality for the price. VINEYARD NOTES 76% Merlot, 12% Cabernet, 7% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec APPELLATION Alexander Valley

Les Fumee Blanch Rose 2024

From the winery: The 2024 vintage was characterized overall by high humidity. A late frost also caused damage in the spring. Early summer brought stormy and threatening weather. From mid-July to the end of August, the summer conditions were ideal; while not excessively hot, they allowed for a beautiful progression of ripeness. However, during the first half of September, the start of the harvest was disrupted by excessive rainfall. Thus, 2024 is also a vintage with low yields. Nevertheless, the wines are of high quality, exhibiting a fresher style compared to recent years. These wines are best enjoyed in their youth. Direct pressing of the grapes to extract minimal color. Natural settling and clarification of the must through cold treatment. Fermentation at low temperature. Weekly bâtonnage of the lees to add volume to the wine. Mosaic of clay-limestone soils, silts, and boulbènes. Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc & Sauvignon Gris

Segla 2015 Margaux

W I N E  D E S C R I P T I O N About half of the 52 hectares of vineyard are around the château, but there are additional parcels near Margaux and Brane-Cantenac. The plantings are comprised of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc with an average vine age of 30 years and a yield of 32 hl/ha. Soils at Rauzan-Ségla are composed of deep, fine gravel which makes for natural irrigation. After hand harvesting and a double sorting, the fruit is gently crushed and then delivered to stainless tanks by gravity-flow where the fermentation begins. Alcoholic fermentation in lasted eight days with pump overs two or three times a day. Malolactic fermentation mostly occurred in vat, but a few wines were done in barrel. The wine was aged in 20% new French oak barrels. TA S T I N G  N OT E S Deep ruby in appearance, Segla delivers aromas of blueberry and vanilla on the nose. On the palate it is medium bodied with silky tannins. Varietal composition: 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc

Pio Cesare Piedmonte Barolo

Overview: The Pio Cesare family’s unique winemaking method stresses minimal intervention to produce wines of particularly supple flavor expression. A ceaseless devotion to the individuality of each of the region’s wines informs Pio Cesare's choices in the cellar: shorter maceration, separate lot fermentation, judicious selection for barrel and large cask aging, and bottling schedules determined by the ideal structure of each wine. This allows Pio Cesare to craft wines of varying weight, age ability and drinkability as determined by the vineyard rather than market fashion. This Barolo is produced using the classic “formula” of traditional Barolo families: a wine which embraces and combines each of the unique characteristics of the different terroirs of the appellation, sourcing grapes from the family's multiple vineyards in different communes. Winemaking:  The grapes are sourced from family-owned vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba (Ornato, la Serra, la Briccolina, Lirano), Grinzane Cavour (Gustava, Garretti), La Morra (Roncaglie), Novello (Ravera), and Monforte d’Alba (Mosconi). Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, with skin contact for about 30 days. The wine is aged in mid-toasted French oak for three years: 70 percent in 20 to 50 hectoliter casks; 30 percent in barriques. Tasting Notes: A traditional vintage delivering fresh fruits and beautiful aromas, with great structure and complexity, intense color and a balanced acidity, already approachable with its gentle tannins—all the classic components of the great vintages of Barolo. Harvest Notes: 2020 has been a remarkably high-quality vintage and our vineyards turned out to be, in such a difficult and challenging year with the explosion of COVID-19, ideal examples of resilience and of the impressive force of Mother Nature, so cruel with human beings yet so full of mercy with the vines. Green harvesting—which kept us busy for almost one whole month, from the end of July to the end of August—was fundamental in 2020: the results of this practice are grapes with more concentration, depth, lower acidity, better phenological ripening and less green tannins. We are very much in love with the intense red fruit of the 2020 vintage—still very young but already very drinkable—rich and complex on the nose with a great depth especially in the Barolos. The delicate use of the oak is very well integrated with the gentle tannins, the aromas and the acidity creating a harmonious balance, especially in the Barbarescos. A superb high-quality and accessible vintage which will as well reveal the great ageing potential of Nebbiolo. 100% Nebbiolo
