This is one of those gems that you come across once in a blue moon that drinks like it costs $50/bottle at roughly half that price. Upon first impression, blueberry and blackberry fruit burst from the glass. As the wine opens up and has ample time to breathe, hints of black pepper, cola, olive, and black cherry unfold in aromatic layers. Refined powdery tannins frame a full, concentrated ripe berry profile on the palate. Velvety smooth in texture, with ample structure to support the fruit, it lingers long after the last sip. 54% Merlot, 24% Syrah, 13% Petite Sirah, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon.
